Welcome to Dutch-Smart
Dutch-Smart is an HACCP-certified online smart shop with our warehouse and office in Helmond. We launched our webshop in 2011. What started as a small initiative has since grown into one of the largest smartshops in Europe, with a selection of over 1,500 products.
We combine the best of both worlds: a complete smartshop featuring magic truffles, mushroom grow kits, and ethnobotanical herbs, as well as a discreet selection of adult products. We believe that adults should be able to decide for themselves how to spend their free time, without judgment and without fuss.
Our team consists of people who know what they’re talking about. Not from a marketing manual, but from years of practical experience. We don’t sell anything we don’t stand behind ourselves and give you honest advice, even if that means telling you that something might not be right for you.
HACCP-certified: food safety as a priority
Dutch-Smart operates in accordance with HACCP guidelines (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points). This internationally recognized food safety system means that we have analyzed and control every critical point in our processes. From the arrival of raw materials to shipment to you: every step is documented and monitored.
As a food company, we are supervised by the NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority). Our facilities, processes, and products are regularly inspected. Employees work in protective clothing and follow strict hygiene protocols, and a professional extraction system ensures a clean working environment during spice processing.
Our facilities
Our facility in Helmond is fully equipped for the safe processing, storage, and shipping of smart shop products.
Herbs are processed in a dedicated room equipped with calibrated Ohaus weighing equipment and a grinder. Magic truffles are stored in cold storage rooms at a constant temperature between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius, recorded daily as part of our HACCP system. Dried herbs, extracts, and supplements are stored in a separate, dark, climate-controlled warehouse, kept apart from non-food items such as vaporizers and grinders. Our packing tables are ergonomically designed for the careful and discreet processing of orders, which are handed over to PostNL daily.

Derek – Food Safety & Customer Support Manager
Derek is responsible for our HACCP system and leads the customer service team. He has a background in food safety and ensures that all processes comply with legal requirements and NVWA guidelines. Derek coordinates internal audits, manages documentation, and is the first point of contact for complex questions and complaints. He also writes our blogs as a mycologist and herbal expert with over 10 years of practical experience in the smart shop industry. Learn more about Derek

Jill is likely the person you’ll speak with when you contact us. She knows the product range inside and out and is happy to offer honest advice. No sales pitches, just help in making the right choice.
Erik, Edwin & Roos – Warehouse & Shipping
This trio ensures that your order is packed quickly, carefully, and discreetly. They are trained in our HACCP procedures and know exactly how each product should be handled.
Thijmen & Luuk – Production & Quality Control
Thijmen and Luuk manage the production processes and perform quality checks. They record temperatures, check expiration dates, and ensure that only products that meet our quality standards reach the warehouse.
Our Product Range
Dutch-Smart offers over 1,500 products: fresh, chilled magic truffles ranging from mild to intense, 100% mycelium grow kits and XL ready-to-grow mushroom kits, and a wide range of herbs including kratom, kanna, salvia divinorum, and ayahuasca ingredients. We also sell mescaline cacti (San Pedro and Peyote), natural energy boosters, CBD products, and medicinal mushrooms, as well as a full headshop selection featuring vaporizers, grinders, and scales. For adults, we also offer a discreet range of adult products.
Quality Assurance and Origin
We work exclusively with suppliers we know and trust. Magic truffles come from Dutch cultivation facilities under controlled conditions, mushroom grow kits are produced in Dutch laboratories using sterile techniques, and kratom comes directly from plantations in Indonesia, tested for purity. We source salvia and kanna from established suppliers with years of experience. CBD products come from European hemp growers with a THC content that always remains below 0.2%.
As part of our HACCP system, we record the temperatures of the cold storage rooms daily, check expiration dates upon receipt and shipment, visually inspect packaging, record lot numbers for traceability, and periodically calibrate our weighing equipment.
Certifications and memberships
Dutch-Smart is a member of the VLOS (National Smartshop Consultation Association), the trade association that keeps us informed of laws, regulations, and industry developments. We are also affiliated with the independent review platforms Kiyoh and Webwinkelkeur, where you can read reviews from other customers.
Legislation and responsibility
We operate within the limits of Dutch law. Magic truffles, mushroom grow kits, kratom, salvia, and kanna are legal in the Netherlands. CBD products contain less than 0.2% THC. We do not ship to countries where these products are prohibited and require age verification (18+) for all orders. On each product page, you’ll find information about effects, dosage, and safe use. Here’s what you can expect from us
Magic truffles and grow kits are stored refrigerated and delivered fresh. Every order is shipped in a plain, unmarked box. If you order before 4:00 PM on a business day, your package will be shipped the same day via PostNL. You can pay via iDEAL, credit card, bank transfer, and more. Unopened products can be returned within 14 days. Our customer service is available via email and responds within 24 hours on business days.
