FreshMushrooms XP Grow Kits

100% mycelium grow kits: the fastest way to grow your own magic mushrooms

A 100% mycelium grow kit contains a fully colonized substrate. The mycelium—the network of fungal threads from which mushrooms grow—has already completely taken over the substrate. All you need to do is create the right conditions, and the first magic mushrooms usually appear within one to three weeks. No complicated preparation, no inoculation, no waiting for colonization. Set up the kit, follow the instructions, and harvest.

At Dutch Smart, you’ll find 100% mycelium kits from trusted brands, suitable for beginners and more experienced growers alike. Want more control over the entire growing process? Then check out our spore syringes and growing supplies.

How soon can I harvest with a 100% mycelium kit?

At the right temperature—between 23 and 26 degrees Celsius—the first mushrooms usually appear within 1 to 3 weeks after starting the kit. The exact growth time varies depending on the strain and environmental conditions. Cooler environments significantly slow down growth.

How many flushes does a 100% mycelium kit yield?

Most kits produce 2 to 4 flushes. The first flush is usually the most abundant. After each harvest, rehydrate the kit by soaking it in cold water for 12 hours, after which a new growth cycle begins. The total yield per kit varies by species and strain.

What is the difference between a 100% mycelium kit and an XL grow kit?

An XL grow kit contains a larger volume of growing medium and therefore yields a higher average total harvest per flush. The process is similar. The larger size makes the XL kit slightly more sensitive to temperature fluctuations, but for growers who want to harvest more, it’s a logical upgrade.

Can I store the kit if I don't start it right away?

We strongly recommend starting the kit as soon as possible after receiving it. If you need to wait a while, store the kit in the refrigerator at 2 to 4 degrees Celsius for up to a few weeks. Keep in mind that longer storage reduces the vitality of the mycelium and may affect the yield.
