Sinicuichi 20 grams | Heimia salicifolia
Sinicuichi (Heimia salicifolia) is a flowering plant from Mexico that was used by the Aztecs during trance rituals. It originates from South America. Sinicuichi is also known as an “auditory hallucinogen”: sounds can be distorted and seem to come from far away.
Sinicuichi is still used by Mexican shamans to “connect with the divine.” The indigenous people consider the plant sacred and imbued with supernatural powers. It is said to help them solve problems. They also use it to relive events from years ago and experience them as “real.”
Effects of Sinicuichi
Auditory hallucinations and a certain effect on memory are some of the frequently cited effects of Heimia salicifolia. Sinicuichi has been used for hundreds of years by the indigenous tribes of South America. Relatively little research has been done on the effects of sinicuichi and their causes, but that does not mean the effects do not exist. Sinicuichi contains various alkaloids, of which vertine (also known as cryogenine) is considered the most important active ingredient.
Most people who consume this herb experience auditory hallucinations and changes in vision. In some cases, the effects are compared to those of wild dagga. Due to its potent effects, sinicuichi has been used by indigenous tribes in South and Central America for over a thousand years.
Usage
10 grams is enough to make tea. Mix this with 3 cups of water and let it boil for a while or leave it in the sun for a day. After that, it is ready to drink.
Warning
Long-term use can impair memory function. Some users experience unpleasant side effects after consumption (and also the following day): severe muscle pain, painful joints, exhaustion, and headaches.
