Spore syringe Thai - Psilocybe cubensis, 20 ml
Thai is one of the longer established Psilocybe cubensis strains, named after its country of origin. This spore syringe contains 20 ml of spore suspension in sterile water from this strain, ready to use straight from the syringe so you do not need to fill one yourself. Psilocybe cubensis spores are typically dark purple to blackish brown, a trait used in microscopy to help identify the species.
Spores themselves contain no psilocybin or psilocin; those active compounds only form later in the mycelium and the mushroom itself. This spore syringe is therefore supplied exclusively for microscopic research and identification purposes, not for growing mushrooms for consumption, which is not permitted in the Netherlands for Psilocybe cubensis.
Use
Clean the work surface and your hands before opening the syringe, and disinfect the needle with an alcohol wipe before use. Shake the syringe briefly before removing the cap so the spores are evenly distributed through the suspension. Apply a small drop of suspension onto a clean slide with the syringe for examination under the microscope.
Storage
Store the syringe upright, in the dark, and refrigerated between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius, for example at the bottom of the fridge. Do not freeze the suspension: ice crystals damage the spores. Reseal the syringe tightly straight after use to prevent contamination of the remaining suspension. When stored correctly, a syringe generally remains usable for research for around 1 to 2 years after shipping.

No, this spore syringe is intended exclusively for microscopic research and identification. Growing Psilocybe cubensis for consumption is not permitted in the Netherlands.
