Black Leaf Grinder Crown, 4-part
The Crown is a 4-part grinder from Black Leaf, a German headshop accessories brand. The top lid has sharp grinding teeth and closes magnetically, so it won't pop open by accident in your pocket. A nylon ring between the grinding chamber and the lower part keeps the turning smooth. Below the grinding chamber sits a fine screen that lets the finest bits of herb (kief) fall through into a separate compartment, apart from the coarser pieces above.
Usage
Put your herb in the top chamber and turn the lid a few times to grind it. Afterwards you can open the bottom kief catcher separately; the included pollen scoop is meant for scooping the collected kief out of it. The grinder comes with a velvet pouch to keep it clean and dust-free in storage.
Maintenance
Brush the grinding teeth and the screen clean every now and then to remove built-up plant resin; that keeps the grinding smooth and the screen from clogging. Let the parts dry fully before putting the grinder back together.

It's for scraping the collected kief out of the bottom chamber without having to put your fingers into the grinder.

With heavy use, the grinding teeth and the screen can get clogged with plant resin. A small brush and the occasional cleaning keep the grinder turning smoothly and the kief catcher sifting properly.
