Jasmine - Satya, 15 Grams of Incense Sticks

Satya is one of the best-known makers of Nag Champa incense, producing its sticks at the Srinivas Sugandhalaya factory in Bangalore, India. For this Jasmine variant, the classic Nag Champa base of herbs and resins is paired with a soft, floral jasmine fragrance. Every stick is hand rolled onto a bamboo core using the traditional masala method, where a paste of wood powder, resins and fragrance oils is applied around the core and left to dry. In India, the aroma of this classic base has long been used in temples and during meditation sessions.

A 15-gram box typically holds 12 to 15 sticks, each burning for around 45 to 50 minutes depending on humidity and airflow. Satya does not test its incense on animals and produces it in a factory that pays attention to fair working conditions.

Usage

Place the stick upright in an incense holder with enough room underneath the tip to catch ash. Light the tip with a lighter or match, let the flame burn for a few seconds, then blow it out: the stick will keep smouldering and release the jasmine fragrance into the room. Make sure there is enough ventilation and never leave burning incense unattended, especially near curtains or other flammable material.

Storage
