Seven Chakra - Nag Champa | 15 g sticks
Nag Champa is the world's best-known incense style: a paste of sandalwood, tree resin and the champa flower (Magnolia champaca), hand-rolled around a bamboo stick. Seven Chakra combines that familiar base with a fresher, citrus-leaning note that manufacturers of this type of incense typically compose to correspond to the seven chakras from yoga philosophy: crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral and root. Producers of this style commonly list ingredients such as patchouli, neroli, pine, rosewood, lavender, sandalwood and lime as part of the scent profile. This is explicitly an atmosphere and meditation association, not a proven physical effect.
Use
Place a stick upright in an incense holder with an ash catcher, or lay it at an angle in a holder with a slot. Light the tip with a match or lighter, let the flame burn for about 10 seconds, then blow it out so the stick keeps smouldering. One stick burns for roughly 30 to 45 minutes and releases its scent gradually through the room. Make sure there's enough ventilation, place the holder on a heat-resistant surface, and never leave burning incense unattended.
Storage
Store the sticks dry, at room temperature and preferably in the closed box, to preserve the scent for as long as possible. Moisture and heat make the resin fade faster, causing a stick to burn less evenly and produce more smoke.
