Leather case for the 2-piece Zippsy pipe
The Zippsy is a traditional Moroccan pipe, originally handmade from olive wood and used for generations to smoke herbs and hash. Because the pipe comes apart into two pieces that screw together, it's compact enough to carry around, but that same design also leaves it exposed to dust and knocks in a bag or pocket. This case is hand-sewn from colourful leather in red, yellow and green, and finished with a visible, hand-stitched seam along the edges. The pouch shape follows the classic style you'll also see on similar Moroccan-made accessories in the headshop range.
Use
Unscrew the Zippsy pipe and slide it into the case, then close the flap using the leather loop over the button at the front; this traditional closure needs no zip or velcro that could wear out or jam. Besides the pipe itself, the narrow sleeve has room for a few other small items, such as a spare bowl or a lighter. At roughly 22.5 cm long and 4.8 cm wide, the case is slim enough to fit in a coat or trouser pocket, so you can take your Zippsy along without it rattling around loose.
Care
Leather does best stored somewhere dry and not too warm; keep the case away from moisture and avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which fades the colours over time. Wipe off light dust or dirt with a dry, soft cloth, and avoid harsh cleaning products that can dry out or discolour the leather.
