Glass Beads spoon pipe - 15 cm
The Glass Beads spoon pipe is a hand-blown glass pipe in the classic "spoon" shape: a round bowl with a short stem, named after the spoon-like silhouette it creates. What sets this model apart from a standard spoon pipe is the coloured glass beads fused into the glass during blowing, which means every piece ends up with a slightly different colour pattern and play of light. At 15 cm long, the pipe sits comfortably in the hand while still being compact enough to carry around.
Underneath the bowl is a standard 18.8 mm socket, the same fitting used on many water pipes for the bowl. That means you can also use the Glass Beads spoon pipe as a replacement bowl on a bong with an 18.8 mm joint, in addition to using it as a standalone hand pipe.
Use
Fill the bowl with finely ground herbs and pack them lightly, not too tight, so air can still pass through. Light it while inhaling gently through the stem. Unlike metal, glass does not add any aftertaste to the smoke, giving a cleaner draw. Let the pipe cool down after use before storing or cleaning it, glass can get hot quickly in certain spots.
Maintenance
Clean the pipe regularly with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt: pour a splash of alcohol and a handful of salt into a resealable bag, add the pipe and shake gently until the residue loosens. Rinse thoroughly with warm water afterwards and let it dry completely before using it again. Cleaning it regularly, for example every few sessions, keeps the draw clear and prevents a sticky tar build-up in the bowl and stem.
