Cooling Pads for Chilled Shipping
Some products in the assortment, such as fresh magic truffles, are sensitive to heat. During warm months, a parcel can heat up considerably while in transit, especially if it spends a day in a mailbox or delivery van. The cooling pad is a small add-on you include with your order at checkout, and it is shipped together with the rest of the package.
Use
You do not need to do anything yourself: the cooling pad is packed alongside your order when it is prepared for shipping. The pad absorbs heat and keeps the temperature inside the package lower for a while than it would be without cooling, which is especially useful during the summer months to help preserve the quality of fresh products in transit.
When to Add It
A cooling pad is most useful for orders containing fresh, undried products, such as fresh sclerotia, during the period from late spring to early autumn, when parcels can be exposed to heat for longer. For dried herbs, headshop items or supplements, cooling makes less of a difference, but if you would rather be on the safe side, you can always add the pad.
