Insulated box for better-protected shipping
Some products in the range are sensitive to temperature swings during transport, such as fresh magic truffles or other non-dried items. A regular shipping box offers little protection against summer heat or winter frost, especially when a package spends a day in transit or sits in a mailbox. The insulated box is an extra option you can add to your order at checkout, and it is shipped together with the rest of the package.
The box has an insulated inner layer that keeps the temperature inside the package more stable for longer than a standard cardboard box. That can be the difference between a product arriving in good condition and one that has gotten too warm or too cold along the way.
Use
You do not need to do anything yourself: when your order is packed, it is placed in the insulated box instead of the standard shipping box. For extra protection during hot summer days, you can combine the insulated box with a separately added cooling pad, which lowers the temperature inside even further. In cold winter months, the insulation instead helps limit frost damage to sensitive products.
When to add it
This option is mainly useful for orders containing fresh or temperature-sensitive products, such as fresh sclerotia, during periods of extreme heat or frost. For dried herbs, head shop items or supplements, the insulation makes less of a difference, but if you would rather be safe, you can always add the box for extra peace of mind while shipping. An insulated box does not replace a cooler and cannot guarantee a constant temperature, but it does slow down how quickly the contents of the package heat up or cool down in transit.
