The herbs for the extractor must be completely dry; they are then placed in the “X-tract,” which is secured with the plastic lid featuring a glass frit filter. The X-tract is held with the screw cap facing down above the collection container at a distance of about 5 cm. A butane gas cylinder is attached to the top opening and pressed until the cylinder is empty. The resulting liquid is filtered through the glass frit and slowly flows down into the collection container. To accelerate the evaporation of the liquid gas in the collection tank, it can be placed in a hot water bath. To ensure optimal filtration results at all times, clean the reusable glass frit filter with warm water immediately after use.
