Pollen Press Mini
The Pollen Press Mini is a smaller version of the pollen presses Dutch-Smart carries, and works on the same principle: a cylinder with two blocks and a screw cap. You fill the cylinder with loose material, such as finely ground herbs or kief, place the top block on it and screw the cap down by hand. The resulting pressure compacts the loose material into a firm, compact disc.
A pressed disc has less surface exposed to air than loose crumbs, which makes storage easier and better protects the contents from drying out. The mini size is especially handy if you only want to press a small amount at a time or want to carry the press with you.
Use and maintenance
Fill the cylinder with the material you want to press, place the block on top and tighten the cap by hand as far as it will go, without using tools such as pliers. Leave the press for a few hours and tighten it again in between for the firmest result. Take the press apart after use and clean the parts, so no residue is left behind.
