On Balance has been making precision scales for small-scale weighing for years, from herbs and supplements to jewellery and small parts. The CL-300 pairs that precision with a discreet disguise: from the outside an ordinary pocket calculator, on the inside a full digital scale. The lid actually works as a calculator with a screen and keypad, and folds open to reveal the weighing plate.

The weighing range goes up to 300 grams, with a readout accuracy of 0.01 grams, making the CL-300 well suited to precisely weighing small quantities. The display is backlit, so you can still read it clearly in poor lighting. A built-in tare function lets you zero out the weight of a bowl or bag first, so you only weigh the contents. After a period of inactivity, the device switches off automatically to save the battery.

Usage and maintenance

Fold open the calculator, place the material to be weighed on the plate, and read the result on the display. Use the tare function for a weighing bowl or packaging. Clean the weighing plate occasionally with a dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid contact with liquids, to protect the electronics inside. Batteries are included.
