SH-100 Shine Precision Scale in Gold
The Shine series is the result of more than three years of development by On Balance. It is the first pocket scale on the market to be fully chrome-plated, resulting in a mirror-like finish that is both durable and eye-catching. Beneath the gold exterior lies the same reliable weighing technology that On Balance has been delivering for over 50 years through its parent company, Marsden: a stainless steel weighing platform, backlit LCD screen, and 0.01-gram accuracy with a capacity of 100 grams.

Usage
Open the cover and turn on the scale. The backlit LCD screen displays the weight immediately. Use the tare button to subtract the weight of a bowl or container. The counting function is useful when you want to count multiple identical items: weigh one item, set the unit weight, and the scale calculates the quantity based on the total weight.
The SH-100 can be calibrated with a separate 100-gram calibration weight (sold separately). The overload protection safeguards the sensor if the maximum weighing capacity of 100 grams is exceeded. Note that the auto-off function activates after 30 seconds of inactivity, which is faster than on most other models (typically 3 minutes). This saves battery life, but requires you to turn the scale back on if you take a short break.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the SH-100 just a design product, or does it also weigh accurately?
The SH-100 Shine uses the same weighing technology as other On Balance 100x0.01g models. The chrome finish is purely cosmetic and does not affect measurement accuracy. You get the same 0.01-gram precision as with a standard pocket scale, but in a striking gold finish.
What is the difference from the rainbow version?
The SH-100 is available in two colors: gold (SH-100-GO) and rainbow (SH-100-RBOW). The technical specifications are identical. The only difference is the color of the chrome finish. Both come with the same features, batteries, and warranty.
