Blue Magnolia: about the strain
Blue Magnolia is a relatively modern Psilocybe cubensis variety, believed to have been developed through selective cultivation in the United States. Its name is thought to reference the magnolia, the state flower of Mississippi, combined with the characteristic blue bruising that occurs in psilocybin-containing mushrooms. In cultivation, Blue Magnolia is known for producing robust, visually appealing mushrooms with thick stems and medium to large caps. The strain is appreciated for its stable growth and consistent yields when cultivated under proper conditions.
The blue coloration seen when the mushroom is bruised is linked to the oxidation of active compounds, a natural reaction that occurs in many psilocybin-containing species. Blue Magnolia is generally regarded as moderately to above-average in potency, offering an intense experience. Users often describe enhanced auditory sensory perception and very vivid visuals. Storage and shelf life
Store the grow bag unopened in the refrigerator at 6-8°C. When stored correctly the bag is viable for up to 6 months. Do not freeze: temperatures below 0°C permanently damage mycelium. For best results, use as soon as possible after receiving.
