Mondotub: better yields with less effort
The Mondotub is designed for first-time growers using a mushroom grow kit who want to get the most out of their harvest. In a standard grow kit setup, results depend heavily on how consistently humidity and airflow are maintained. The Mondotub solves that with a closed system: the 12 filter patches allow enough CO₂ to escape and fresh air to enter through passive diffusion, without needing to open the box to mist or fan. Less contamination risk, better pin formation, larger harvest.
The clear acrylic lets you monitor growth without opening the box. The dimensions are sized to fit Mondo grow kits. A layer of clean drinking water goes in the base, the grow kit sits in it to keep the substrate moist without over-saturation. After harvest, clean the Mondotub with warm water and mild detergent. Instructions for use
Step 1: Preparation
Thoroughly disinfect the inside of the Mondotub before use. Allow it to air dry. Cover all 12 pre-drilled ventilation holes with the provided filter patches.
Step 2: Setup
Choose a stable location such as a sturdy shelf or kitchen table. Make sure there is enough daylight but avoid direct sunlight and draughty areas.
Step 3: Assembly (after completing the activation step of your grow kit)
Fill the base of the Mondotub with clean drinking water. Place the activated grow kit in the water. Mist the inside walls of the upper part of the Mondotub. Close the box.
Step 4: Fruiting and harvest
Do not open the box: the filter patches provide passive fresh air exchange. Within 10 to 14 days the first pins should appear. Open the box when the mushrooms are ready to harvest.
Step 5: Cleaning and reuse
After harvest, clean the Mondotub with warm water and mild detergent. Do not put it in the dishwasher. If the filter patches are still clean and not filled with spores, they can be reused up to three times.
