Disinfectant Skin Lotion - 50 ml
This skin lotion is designed to quickly disinfect your hands and forearms before you start working with mushrooms, spores or a grow kit. The compact 50 ml pump bottle fits easily alongside your other grow supplies and works on the skin within 15 seconds.
When working with spores, agar or substrate, a clean approach matters: contaminants on your hands or forearms can cause a grow kit or cultivation project to fail due to unwanted mould or bacteria. Disinfecting your skin beforehand significantly reduces that risk, much like in a medical setting where hygiene comes first. That applies not only when inoculating agar or liquid culture, but also when filling a syringe or resealing a grow kit after use, moments when your hands repeatedly come into contact with cultivation material.
Use
Pump a small amount of lotion onto dry hands and forearms and rub it in gently until the skin feels dry; no rinsing needed. Use it before inoculating substrate, injecting a grow kit, or any other moment where you'll be handling spores or cultivation material. Make sure the skin around your nails is covered too, since that's often where bacteria collect.
Storage
Store the bottle upright, in a dry place at room temperature, out of reach of children. Close the pump properly after use to stop the lotion from drying out, and check the expiry date on the label.
