Mondo Grow Light: grow lighting for spaces without sufficient daylight

Mushrooms need light to trigger the transition from the mycelium phase to fruiting. In a room without windows or with insufficient natural light, growth slows down or pins fail to form. The Mondo Grow Light compensates with targeted LED light at the right wavelength to stimulate fruiting.

The telescopic stand adjusts from 20 to 65 cm, keeping the lamp at the recommended 15 to 30 cm above the grow kit regardless of your setup size. The built-in timer handles daily switching automatically, maintaining a consistent light cycle, one of the most important factors for a good harvest. Instructions for use

Set up the lamp on its stand and place the grow kit directly underneath. Adjust the height to 15-30 cm above the grow kit. Choose the timer setting based on available light:

3 hours: if natural light is present
9 hours: if natural light is lacking
12 hours: if the space is dark or has no windows

Keep the same light cycle every day and set brightness to full intensity for best results.

Is an adapter included with the Mondo Grow Light?

No. The lamp uses a USB connection and works with any standard USB wall adapter or USB port. No adapter is included; use an existing USB adapter of at least 5V/1A, such as a phone charger adapter. A USB powerbank also works, useful if there is no nearby power socket.

Does the grow light work for plants other than mushrooms?

Yes. The Mondo Grow Light is designed for mushroom grow kits but is also suitable for houseplants and seedlings that need extra light. The three light colour options and four brightness levels provide flexibility for different plant types and growth stages.

How important is light for my grow kit?

Light triggers the transition from the mycelium phase to fruiting. Mushrooms grow towards the light source, which also determines the direction pins develop. Without any light stimulation, fruiting may not occur or be significantly delayed. A consistent daily light cycle matters more than total light quantity: the same hours of light at the same time each day produces better results than irregular timing.
