Thermostat, 16 to 40 °C
This thermostat is a standalone temperature controller for use with a heating pad. You plug the heating pad's cord into the thermostat, then plug the thermostat into a wall socket; using the display or dial you set the desired temperature between 16 and 40 °C. The built-in sensor switches the pad on and off to hold that temperature.
Use
Place the temperature sensor near the substrate or growing container you want to keep warm and set the thermostat to the temperature recommended for what you're growing; check your grow kit's instructions for that figure. After connecting it, check the displayed temperature against a separate thermometer in the same space, especially the first time you use it.

FAQ
What temperature should I set for incubating a grow kit?
That depends on the species and substrate, so always check the instructions supplied with your specific grow kit first. For most grow kits, the recommended temperature typically falls somewhere between room temperature and around 27 °C, well within this thermostat's 16 to 40 °C range.
Can I use this thermostat for something other than a grow kit?
Yes, the thermostat is a general-purpose temperature controller for heating pads and isn't limited to growing supplies; as long as the connected pad stays within the thermostat's power rating, you can use it for other heating-pad applications too.
Combine this thermostat with a heating pad and other growing supplies from our range, such as perlite and rice flour.
