Size 000 holds the most content of all standard capsule sizes. With compact, finely ground powder, you can fit up to approximately 1000 mg per capsule; with looser or coarser material, this is closer to 700 mg. This makes size 000 the most efficient size if you want to take as few capsules as possible per dose. For kratom at higher doses—4 grams or more—two to four size 000 capsules are sufficient per dose. With size 00 or 0, you would need six to eight or eight to ten capsules, respectively.
The trade-off is simple: size 000 provides the highest dose per capsule but the smallest batch at a time (18 capsules instead of 24 for the other sizes). For occasional use or herbs where you want a high dose per capsule, 000 is the logical choice. If you regularly produce large batches and consider the total dosage per capsule less important, sizes 00 or 0 are more efficient.
How does the capsule filling machine work?
The machine consists of two frames. Place the bottoms of 18 empty size 000 capsules in the lower frame. Sprinkle the finely ground powder over the frame and distribute it using the included distribution card until each capsule is evenly filled. Tamp the contents with the tamper for a higher fill level, then place the top frame with the capsule caps on top and press both halves together in one motion. Result: 18 filled and sealed capsules.
Due to the larger capsule size, distributing the powder evenly is slightly easier than with smaller sizes; there is simply more space in the cavity. Make sure the material is ground finely enough.
