Playbong: larger version with an 18.8 mm bowl
The Playbong series comes in two versions. The 36 cm version in red has a 14.5 mm bowl. This 43 cm version in purple has an 18.8 mm bowl, which provides a larger opening for greater airflow per draw. For a bong that is 43 cm tall with a 50 mm tube diameter, this is a practical advantage: the larger volume of smoke the tube can hold is easier to draw in one go through the wider ground joint.
The sandblasted "PLAYBONG®" logo and zebra print pattern are directly incorporated into the glass and do not wear off when cleaned with alcohol. The bulbous base functions as a water reservoir and simultaneously gives the bong a stable, low center of gravity. Use and Maintenance
Fill the bulb base with water until the downstem is just below the water surface. Cover the carb hole, fill the funnel bowl with cannabis, and light it while taking a drag through the mouthpiece. Uncover the carb hole for the final drag. A 43 cm bong builds up more smoke volume than smaller models: take your time with each draw and adjust the amount of weed in the bowl to your preference. Clean regularly with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt.

Why is an 18.8 mm bowl better for a large bong?
In a tall bong with a large tube volume, more smoke builds up than in a compact bong. To release that smoke all at once during the final draw, a larger bowl opening is practical: more air flows in per second, causing the accumulated smoke to be carried away faster and more completely. A 14.5 mm bowl on a 43 cm bong would create more resistance during the final draw than an 18.8 mm bowl.
Are 14.5 mm accessories also compatible with this bowl?
Not directly. A 14.5 mm bowl does not fit into an 18.8 mm bowl without an adapter. If you want to use 14.5 mm accessories on this bong, you’ll need an 18.8 mm to 14.5 mm adapter. These are widely available in the headshop assortment. The included funnel bowl has the correct 18.8 mm size and is ready to use.
