Chaga Extract 30ml - The Mushroomist
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a woody fungus that grows mainly on birch trees in colder climates, from Scandinavia to Siberia and North America. Peoples including the Ainu, the indigenous inhabitants of Japan, and various Siberian communities have used chaga for centuries, typically brewed as a tea from dried, crushed pieces of the mushroom. The Mushroomist personally selects mature, healthy chaga specimens from Finnish forests, where the cold climate favours a higher concentration of active compounds.
Immediately after harvest, the chaga is extracted in three different ways, a combination of modern techniques and traditional methods, to preserve a broad spectrum of the mushroom's compounds. Chaga is known for its rich polysaccharide content, including beta-glucans, alongside triterpenes and melanin. The extract is then stabilised and flavoured with organic maple syrup, giving it a milder, sweeter taste than the naturally bitter mushroom itself.
Usage
Shake the bottle well before use and take a few drops up to a full dropper, depending on your personal preference and the guidance on the label. The extract can be taken neat under the tongue or diluted in water, tea or another drink. This is a food supplement, not a medicine, and it does not replace medical advice or treatment.
Storage
Store the bottle in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, and use it within the period stated on the packaging after opening.
