5-part acrylic grinder - 60mm
This grinder from Dutch-Smart is made of acrylic and consists of five parts, with a diameter of 60mm. Because it's made of acrylic instead of metal or glass, the grinder is noticeably lighter, which makes it pleasant to carry around. Acrylic is also less prone to damage from a fall than glass or ceramic, although it's still wise to handle the grinder with care.
Use
Place your herbs or tobacco loosely in the grinding chamber, turn the lid a few times, and the teeth on the inside grind the material finely. On a 5-part grinder like this one, a screen sits below the grinding chamber that separates the finely ground material from larger pieces, with a separate compartment underneath where the finest kief powder collects. This keeps your ground herbs sorted by fineness.
Maintenance
Clean the grinder regularly to stop residue from building up in the teeth and screen. A soft brush, such as an old toothbrush, works well for sweeping out the chambers. Never put acrylic in the dishwasher and avoid harsh cleaning agents, as these can damage or dull the material. A damp cloth and the occasional brushing keep the grinder working smoothly.
Storage
Store the grinder somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight so the acrylic doesn't discolour or become brittle. Make sure the lid is closed properly when carrying the grinder in a bag, so nothing spills out of the collection chamber.
