Palo Santo

The wild tree known as Palo Santo, scientifically named Bursera Graveolens, derives its name from the meaning'Holy Wood'. This tree is found in the lush Amazon rainforests of Ecuador and Peru and belongs to the same botanical family as copal, myrrh, and frankincense. For centuries, indigenous shamans have harnessed the healing properties of Palo Santo’s wood, leaves, and oils to promote physical and spiritual well-being, purify spaces, eliminate negative energy, and facilitate meditation. Copal

Derived from the Aztec Nahuatl term “Copalli,” copal encompasses a range of resins obtained from the “Bursera” family. Even today, copal is still used in shamanic rituals for protection, purification, and as an offering.
