Gandalf Glass Pipe
Who hasn't heard of it: quite possibly the most famous pipe on earth. In The Lord of the Rings, Gandalf uses this pipe to blow a smoke ring shaped like a ship into the air, a scene that made the design famous among smokers and collectors worldwide. This glass version is inspired by that shape: a long, thin neck above a wider bowl with a flat base.
The flat base keeps the pipe standing stable and upright instead of tipping over on a table. Thanks to the long neck, the smoke noticeably cools down before it reaches your mouth, giving a smoother draw than a pipe with a short neck. The pipe comes in two versions: Frosted White at 31cm and Fumed Silver at 23cm, which has a slightly shorter neck and a smoked, silver-toned glass finish.
Material
Glass pipes of this style are typically made from heat-resistant glass, such as borosilicate glass, which withstands the heat of a flame better than regular glass. That makes the pipe less prone to cracking under normal use, though it remains fragile glassware that you should handle with care.
Usage
Fill the bowl with the amount you want, hold the pipe upright by the neck and light it while drawing gently. Let the pipe cool down after use before storing or cleaning it.
Maintenance
Clean the pipe regularly with isopropyl alcohol and a pipe cleaner to prevent residue building up in the neck; this keeps the draw smooth and the flavour clean. Store the pipe somewhere stable, since it's made of glass.
