What is Muira Puama extract

This extract is a stronger variant of the Muira Puama herb, which is better known in medicine as Ptychopetalum olacoides. It is a genus of two species of flowering plants in the Olacaceae family, native to the Amazon rainforest. The indigenous names for the plant include marapuama, muirapuama, and mirantã, which roughly translate to “potency wood.” The species are shrubs or small trees that grow to about 4.3 m tall. The root is very tough and fibrous, light brown on the inside with thin bark and broad wood; it has a faint odor and tastes somewhat salty and pungent.

Usage

Boil 4 to 5 grams of extract in half a liter of water for 15 minutes.
