 - The seeds can be sown in the spring near a window at a room temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. 

 - Ephedra prefers loose, dry soil (cactus soil) 

 - Ephedra Sinica, Viridis, Nevadensis, or MA-Huang do not like wet feet, so be sparing with watering.
