Description

Nicotiana rustica seeds

Nicotiana rustica is considered a sacred plant throughout the Amazon region. It is better known there as "mapacho" and is used as an offering to the spiritual world. It is a beautiful plant that is fairly easy to grow

Cultivation

Although Nicotiana rustica is accustomed to a subtropical climate, it also thrives in cooler parts of the world. If you collect the plant’s seeds and replant them, it is possible to develop your own variety within a few years that is even more resistant to the cooler Western European climate.

The seeds of Nicotiana rustica are very fine and small. They are best sown in the spring, but not too early in the season. Frost will inevitably kill the seeds. In the summer, the sweet-smelling flowers mentioned earlier appear. Nicotiana can be harvested in the fall.

Ensure fertile soil (use some fertilizer if necessary) and enough space for the roots to achieve the best results.
Mix the seeds with about twice as much sand by volume. You can plant the seeds in seed trays, pots, and, if it’s warm enough, directly in the ground.
