Warning from Trimbos,
Trimbos is warning Dutch drug users about the highly dangerous substance PMMA, which has been found in powders such as ketamine or MDMA. MDMA is a component of ecstasy.
The substance has been found in Amsterdam and Brabant. The Trimbos Institute expects these substances to start appearing throughout the country.
The Trimbos Institutereports that dozens of people worldwide have already died from using PMMA in recent years.
At high doses, a PMMA user can experience severe palpitations. There is also a risk of a very rapid rise in body temperature, which can naturally lead to overheating.
