Description

Mimosa hostilis Seeds

Mimosa hostilis is a tree native to Brazil, where it is known as Jurema Preta. The bark of its roots contains DMT, a visionary tryptamine. It is often combined with Peganum harmala as a recipe for an easy-to-prepare Ayahuasca.

Ingredients

We sell the root bark of M. hostilis. The primary active ingredient in this part of the plant is N,N-DMT, and there is also a small amount of β-carbolines (Raetsch 2005). Some sources mention the presence of 5-MeO-DMT

Additional Information

Superior-quality Mimosa hostilis Brazilian root bark. Mimosa hostilis is also known as Mimosa tenuiflora and jurema. Mimosa is native to the northeastern region of Brazil and is found from the north to the south of Mexico. It is usually found at lower elevations, but it can be found as high as 1,000 meters. Mimosa tenuiflora is an entheogen known as Jurema, Jurema Preta, and Black Jurema. Dried Mimosa root bark has recently been shown to contain DMT. The bark is the part of the tree traditionally used in northeastern Brazil in a psychoactive decoction also known as Jurema or Yurema. The traditional Western Amazonian sacrament Ayahuasca is brewed from indigenous ayahuasca vines. However, to date, no β-carbolines such as harmala alkaloids have been detected in Mimosa tenuiflora decoctions, but the root bark is consistently used without an added MAO inhibitor.
