A grow bag makes growing your own mushrooms as simple as it gets. The substrate is already fully colonised with mycelium, so there is nothing to activate or mix. Still, it is the strain and not the bag that shapes the experience. One is mild and social, another is potent and immersive. What is a grow bag?
A grow bag is a ready-to-use cultivation bag with substrate that the mycelium has already run through. The moment you place the bag in the right environment, fruiting begins. That means fewer steps and less chance of mistakes early on.

Accessible strains to start with
B+
The B+ is one of the best-known cubensis strains in the world and has a reputation for being forgiving to grow. The mushrooms are large and robust, with thick stems and broad caramel-coloured caps. Golden Teacher

PES Amazonian

Hillbilly Pumpkin
The Hillbilly Pumpkin comes from the Hillbilly lineage, with rounded, sometimes flattened caps in a warm orange hue. The strain colonises quickly and produces dense clusters. Blue Magnolia
The Blue Magnolia is a relatively modern variety with robust mushrooms, thick stems and medium to large caps. Growth is stable and yields are consistent. Blue Ghost
The Blue Ghost is an albino-dominant hybrid, created from a cross of Long Ghost and Blue Shakti. The caps are milk-white to light golden, with sturdy stems that bruise a striking blue when touched. Yeti
The Yeti is a well-known albino variety, thought to be derived from the True Albino Teacher, although this has not been formally confirmed. The mushrooms are thick and pale with a white to bluish colour. The strain needs slightly more attention during cultivation and is above average in potency. Which grow bag suits you?
If you are new, the B+, Golden Teacher and PES Amazonian are pleasant starting points: mild, predictable and easy to grow. If you want something more social, choose the Hillbilly Pumpkin. If you already have experience and want more depth, the Blue Magnolia, Blue Ghost and Yeti offer a stronger experience. With every strain the cultivation is ready to grow, the difference is in the strength and the character of the trip.
How to start growing
Place the bag in a clean, well-lit spot out of direct sunlight, at room temperature. Follow the included manual step by step for opening, humidity and harvesting. Safe use
Magic mushrooms are for adults aged 18 and over only. Start with a low dose, especially with a strong strain or if you have little experience. Make sure you are in a familiar environment with a sober trip sitter present. Never combine with alcohol, antidepressants (SSRI/MAOI) or other substances, and do not use if you have a personal or family history of psychosis or schizophrenia.
