How do you determine the right temperature when vaping?
If you’re vaping for the first time, there are a few things you should know. For example, the temperature you use is very important. If you’re vaping cannabis, for instance, you’ll need to set your vaporizer to a different temperature than when you’re vaporizing other herbs. In this article, you’ll find some useful tips and tricks on this topic, so you can get started well-prepared.
How high do you want to get (and in what way)?
The temperature you choose also affects the high you’ll experience. We’re not so much talking about the intensity of what you feel, but more the type of high you experience. If you’re vaping cannabis, you should set the temperature between 180°C and 210°C. Temperatures below 190°C often result in a so-called “head high,” meaning you’re tripping more in your head. If you really want a physical high, set your temperature to 190°C or higher.
Temperature also affects the taste
The flavor of your weed or herbs becomes richer when you choose to vape instead of smoke. However, this changes if you set your vaporizer’s temperature incorrectly: especially if the temperature is too high, you’ll be left with little flavor. That’s because you’re burning the herbs, and that’s a waste. So don’t start too hot, and build up slowly. Especially if you’re unsure.
Vaping other herbs
As mentioned, you can use the vaporizer for many more herbs than just cannabis. These usually require a much lower temperature, somewhere between 100°C and 175°C. Popular herbs include chamomile and valerian, which have a calming effect. Would you like to combine cannabis with other herbs when vaping? We highly recommend lavender, mint, and kratom.
